November 2010 we set up our new walk-in cooler and a much needed satellite storage facility with an entrance just off Stewart street for easier delivery of large donations. Call ahead to arrange to be met there if you have a delivery. 980-328-7111

In October we added a few more standard items to our shelves: mayonaise, pancake mix
& syrup or cake mix & frosting.
In June of 2010 we were able to change the maximum number of visits within a 12 month period from 3 to 4 and include mayonaise, pancake mix & syrup or cake mix & frosting in our list of items distributed to our clients.

Beginning June of 2010 we raised our limit from 3 to 4 visits per year.

The 2010 Postal Letter Carriers drive Mothers' Day weekend was the biggest ever.

L&FUC received
$1,280.00 worth of food from the Matthews Post Office.
$2,176.00 worth of food from the Monroe Post Office and
$21,862.00 worth of food from the Waxhaw Post Office

Activities like these, along with the donations from all the valued local businesses, civic groups, churches and individuals that participate in our ongoing support have allowed our local volunteer organization to continue to help meet the need to feed those in need in our community year round for the last 26 years.
